Professional History
Suki is briefed in a wide range of serious criminal matters, acting for defendants charged under both State and Commonwealth law. She also undertakes regular prosecutorial work, appearing for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and various regulatory bodies.
Suki has significant experience in routine and complex Commonwealth prosecutions including domestic and foreign child exploitation offending, cross-border drug-related offending, human trafficking, money laundering and fraud.
Suki also maintains a broad practice. She is regularly briefed by government departments to advise and appear in matters involving industrial relations, quasi-criminal disputes, public law and regulatory issues.
Before joining the private bar, Suki worked for notable international and national commercial law firms, including McCullough Robertson and Norton Rose Fulbright. She later joined the Director of Public Prosecutions, where she worked for eight years.
Prior to admission as a legal practitioner, Suki served as an Associate to His Honour Judge Everson of the District Court of Queensland.
